Safety conversation will be held on September 17, 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our daily lives and we are adapting in a changing and unsettling environment. Now, more than ever, it is imperative for us to focus on operating safely and remaining healthy. I encourage everyone to use this Safety Day as a platform to discuss how we can be more safe, demonstrate care – for ourselves and others, and stay in control of the risks we manage. How we operate as a company, and the actions we take individually, have direct impact on the people we care about most.

I hope you and your family are keeping safe and I look forward to hearing the results of your conversations.

Brian Bamba, Managing Director of IP&E Holdings LLC

Now, more than ever, we need to take a moment to step back and discuss safety. The challenges we all face from COVID-19 and the conditions in which we're doing business are like no others we've experienced before. Yet we must make sure we can keep operating safely, from homes and offices through to our facilities supporting national and global infrastructure. Right across Shell, ensuring the health and safety of all our staff and contractors has never been more important.

On Safety Day 2020, we ask everyone to show care for each other end, more than ever, focus on robust barriers - how do we know whether we are in control of the risks we manage? Applying the concept of 'human performance' and adopting more of a 'learner mindset' can help us through the current difficult environment and can help us to manage the risk better in the longer term.
